Location of New Facility:
InterChange recently purchased a 322,000 square-foot facility in Lyndhurst, VA (just outside of Waynesboro). The new facility is one of only a few warehouses in the Commonwealth of Virginia that are over 250,000 square-feet, with warehouse space of 312,000 square-feet and two additional pad-ready sites of 100,000 square-feet each. There is 10,000 square-feet of office and maintenance space. Also available is a Norfolk Southern rail spur connecting to the warehouse to provide for bulk shipments. Additional amenities include 24 foot ceilings, outside trailer storage, and the ability to lease the space to multiple tenants. InterChange is further upgrading the facility to obtain food-grade certifications and to implement green energy initiatives. The new facility is located only 1.5 miles from Interstate 64, 11 miles from Interstate 81, 35 miles from Charlottesville Albermarle Airport, and 28 miles from Shenandoah Valley Regional Airport. As a part of this purchase, InterChange sold its original warehouse in Weyers Cave to its long-term tenant, A.G. Stacker Inc, an equipment manufacturer in the corrugated box industry.
The investment into this facility expands InterChange’s geographic footprint to provide services to Waynesboro and other Augusta County customers. InterChange now has locations throughout the Shenandoah Valley, including Winchester, Front Royal, Harrisonburg and Waynesboro. These warehouse locations and proximity to Interstates 64, 66 and 81 allow InterChange’s company-owned fleet to deliver goods for its customers from a central East Coast location. InterChange also works with customers to meet their warehousing needs by providing flex space on a leased basis. This allows the tenant to expand or contract with the facilities while having a logistics partner as a “neighbor” to assist when needed.
