Mt. Crawford, Virginia– Effective March 10, 2025, Keith VanBenschoten assumed the role of Chief Strategy Officer, and Cliff Alt has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. These changes come as InterChange continues to respond to evolving market demands, positioning itself to capture new customer opportunities and better serve its existing clientele. InterChange is also excited to announce the appointment of Timothy Cognata as Director of Sales.

Keith VanBenschoten, has been with InterChange for over 24 years, he has played a critical role as a senior leader and company ambassador. In his new role as Chief Strategy Officer, Keith will focus on driving strategic initiatives, mentoring team members, and taking a leadership role in short-term operational projects. He will be an advocate for InterChange in industry and community forums, leveraging his extensive experience to guide the company into its next phase of growth and strategic development.
Cliff Altjoined InterChange in 2019 as Cold Storage Manager and his leadership was instrumental in modernizing InterChange’s operations. In 2024, Cliff assumed the role of Director of Operations, where he led the Team through organizational growth and significant transitions. His promotion to Chief Operating Officer will allow him to further enhance InterChange’s operational strength, enabling the company to meet the needs of more complex customer opportunities. Cliff holds a degree in Business Administration from West Virginia University and is a graduate and instructor for Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) Cold Chain Institute.
Tim Cognata brings over 30 years of experience in business development and sales leadership to InterChange, having most recently served as Director of Business Development at DHL. In his new role, Tim is responsible for driving InterChange’s sales strategy and expanding its customer base. Tim has a proven track record in developing and executing sales and marketing strategies, having managed high-level accounts in both the logistics and beverage industries.
