On May 17, Sumitomo Drive Technologies held a Grand Opening at their new Verona Gearbox Center of Excellence located in the new InterChange Mill Place building.
This modern facility will serve as the final assembly location for industrial gearboxes used in mining, water treatment, manufacturing and other heavy duty applications. The gearboxes will then be shipped for use worldwide.
The event included members of the Sumitomo team from as far away as Japan, Augusta county officials, area economic development staff as well as representatives from our elected state and federal officials. InterChange is pleased to welcome Sumitomo Drive Technologies as a tenant and we wish them continued success.
